What this site is

Living Beyond SCI is a personal project run by one person — Jeremy Olson. It offers free educational content related to spinal cord injury, including research summaries, lived-experience material, and self-guided practices.

Some sections of the site carry their own additional terms specific to the kind of work they involve. The Guided Imagery practices, for example, have their own additional notice covering the medical and interventional aspects of that work. Where that's the case, those terms appear on the relevant pages — please read them before you use those sections.

There are no subscriptions, no advertising, and no user accounts. The site does not collect personal information.

Using and sharing

You're welcome to use anything on this site for personal reading, learning, and practice. You may share links to the site freely, quote short passages with credit, and point anyone toward it who might benefit.

This work is free, and it is meant to stay free. That's the whole intention behind it. So there is one clear limit: please don't sell it, place it behind a paywall, charge people for access to it, or repackage any of it as a paid product or service of your own. Put simply — share it, don't sell it.

Where a licence label is helpful, the written content, audio, and original materials on this site are offered under a Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial–NoDerivatives licence (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). In plainer words, that means you may share the material as it is, with credit, for non-commercial purposes. Any other use — selling it, charging for it, or reworking it into something new — needs written permission first.

The Guided Imagery recordings are made in Jeremy's own voice and are part of the free programme. Please don't copy, re-host, or use them commercially elsewhere.

If you're a clinician, researcher, educator, or community organiser who'd like to use any of the materials in your own work, please get in touch. Permission is usually easy to give — the point of the licence is to keep the work free for the people it's for, not to make it hard to reach.

No warranty

The site is offered as-is. The author works to keep the content accurate and useful but cannot guarantee that everything is error-free or always available. To the extent permitted by law, the author accepts no liability for consequences arising from your use of the site.
